Maca Apple Pie Spiced Waffles + Organic Burst Discount!
Hello readers!! I have double the goodness in this post, a yummy new waffle recipe perfect for Autumn, AND an awesome discount for my favorite superfood brand, Organic Burst!
First, the waffles. These are grain and gluten free Maca Apple Cinnamon spice waffles, which I actually made for the first time several weeks ago but never got around to writing the recipe! These are packed with nutrients like maca powder to give you a natural energy boost, and fiber from the coconut flour which will help keep you full!
Also, THIS WEEK ONLY, you can enter the code "CASEY10" at the Organic Burst checkout and receive 10% off your entire purchase! You all know how much I love my superfoods and how often I use them in recipes, so this is your chance to get some for yourself!! The discount will end on Monday, November 3rd so don't miss out!
You will need:
- 2 tbsp coconut flour (I use Bob's Red Mill)
- 1 tsp maca powder
- 1/2 tsp apple pie spice (or to taste)
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp egg whites
- 3 tbsp milk of choice
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- sweetener of choice, to taste
Directions:
- Preheat your waffle iron and coat it with coconut oil.
- Sift the coconut flour, maca powder, apple pie spice and baking powder into a mixing bowl, then whisk to combine.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, egg whites, milk, vanilla extract and sweetener.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry, then whisk until the batter is smooth.
- How many waffles you get will depend on your waffle iron. Mine has two rectangular wells, so I pour a very heaping 2 tbsp of the batter onto the center of each. Use your judgement with how your waffle iron cooks.
- Let the waffle iron do it's thing and repeat with the rest of the batter until it's gone!
Don't forget to enter CASEY10 at checkout on the Organic Burst website so you can try these delicious waffles for yourself!
Enjoy! :)
