Chocolate, Peanut Butter and Acai Banana "Nice" Cream

This had to have been the most delicious bowl of banana nice cream I have ever had!! All the flavors blended perfectly together - especially the peanut butter and chocolate! This recipe is high in protein, healthy fats and carbs, and would be a fabulous post-workout snack or meal, depending on how many bananas you use! Choose a plant-based protein powder and non-dairy milk to make this recipe vegan.

Serves 1

For the Peanut Butter Nice Cream:
  • 1 RIPE banana, sliced into chunks and frozen
  • 1 tbsp natural peanut butter (or more, if you’re me and have a PB obsession)
  • 1-2 tbsp milk of choice
  • a little less than 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder (13-14g)

For the Acai:
  • 1 RIPE banana, sliced into chunks and frozen
  • about 1/4 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 tsp acai powder
  • 1-2 tbsp milk of choice
  • a little less than 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder (13-14g)

For the Chocolate Nice Cream:
  • 1 RIPE banana, sliced into chunks and frozen
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1-2 tbsp milk of choice
  • a little less than 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder (13-14g)

Directions:

Starting with the peanut butter nice cream, put the banana slices into your food processor, then add the milk. Process until the bananas start to smooth out (scrape down the sides to get everything incorporated). It’ll take a little time, so be patient. Then, add the peanut butter and protein powder and process again until it’s all nice and smooth. Put that in a bowl and stick it in your freezer so it doesn’t melt.

For the acai nice cream, blend the banana slices, blueberries and milk until smooth, then add the acai and protein powders until fully incorporated. Place that in the bowl with the peanut butter ice cream, and put it back in your freezer.

For the chocolate nice cream, blend the banana slices and milk until smooth, then add the cacao and protein powders and process until incorporated. Add it to your bowl with the PB and Acai ice cream and dig in!

Enjoy! :)
